An engineer
at the cinema.
The short
version.
I write software for the people who run your local movie theater. Before that I wrote software that lived in low earth orbit. The jobs have more in common than they look: both customers expect the thing to work the first time, and neither of them have a "support contract."
I co-founded Indy Cinema Group in 2024 with the belief that there is a class of business — independent cinemas — that the consumer software industry has quietly given up on, and that the right tools, priced honestly, would change what is possible for them. Three years in, we have a few hundred screens on the platform and a long list of things we still have to fix.
I'm available for occasional talks on cinema technology, founding-team software decisions, and what aerospace engineers learn the hard way when they ship to humans.
